Sub: Assistance to Registrars for Aadhaar Generation & Mandatory Biometric Update (5/15 years) and maximum fees to be collected from the residents for the services (update and other services) provided by Registrars/ Other Service Providers.
Ref: Gazette Notification No. HQ-16041/4/2021-EU-I-HQ- Part(I) (No. 2 of 2022) dated 03.03.2022.
In continuation to the revision in MBU Policy and introduction of provision for Home Enrolment Service, the rate of assistance to Registrars and fees applicable to residents issued vide OM No. HQ- 16033/1/2020-EU-I-HQ-Part(2) (E-8026) dated 18.10.2022 stands revised as follows:

** Free from 15th March till 14th June 2023
* The service charges for Home Enrolment Service will be charged in addition to the normal fee applicable for demographic / biometric update in Aadhaar.
* If the service is availed by more than one resident at the same address (as per Aadhaar), Rs 700/- service charge (including GST) will be charged for first resident and @ Rs 350/- (including GST) for each additional resident.
2. All the rates mentioned above are inclusive of GST and Registrars are requested to submit the Tax Invoice against the Assistance to be provided by UIDAI for processing the payment.
3. For Registrars not functioning under in-house model as per OM No. 16024/4/2022-EU-I-HQ-Part(1) dated 30.01.2023, the applicable rate for assistance shall be as per Table 2 of Circular dated 09.05.2020.
4. This issues with the approval of Competent Authority and shall be applicable with immediate effect.

- The rate of Aadhaar assistance received from UIDAI and fee collected from residents are revised by UIDAI for Post Office
- The amount of fee to be charged by Registrars for Aadhaar generation and Mandatory Biometric Updates and fees to be collected from the residents for the services (Document update and Demographic update)

Subject: Rate revision of Aadhaar assistance received from UIDAI and fee collected from residents.
Kindly find attached OM no. HQ-16033/ 1/2020-EU-I -HQ-Part(2) dated 20.04.2023 of UIDAI regarding the subject cited above.
2. The rate of Aadhaar assistance received from UIDAI and fee collected from residents are revised by UIDAI for Post Office as under:

3. It is requested to circulate the aforesaid OM to all the Post Office Aadhaar Centres under the jurisdiction of the Circle with the instructions to display the rate chart of fees to be collected from residents for the awareness of the general public.

Aadhaar Enrolment cum Updation Centres
Mainly two (2) types of services are provided in Post Office Aadhaar Centres
Aadhaar Enrolment:-The Enrolment process involves electronic capture of demographic and biometric information of the residents. The Aadhaar Enrolments are done free of cost in Post Offices
Aadhaar Updation:- (i) Demographic Updation such as Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, Address, Date of Birth etc. (ii) Biometric Updations, facial image, 10 finger prints and Iris are updated through post offices.

Sub:- Revised rates of assistance to Registrars for Aadhaar generation and Mandatory Biometric updation ( 5/15 years) and revised maximum fee to be collected from the residents for the services provided by Registrars /EAs/ Other Service Providers
In pursuance to the decision taken by the Authority in its meeting dated 11th Sept,2018, the following revised structure of assistance to Registrars and maximum fee that can be charged from the residents for various Aadhaar related services is made effective from 01/01/2019 :

* The revised assistance would be applicable only for the Registrars with in-house model i.e. the cases where-
(i) The machine is owned by Registrar and
(ii) Supervisor and verifier are employee of the Registrar
(iii) Operator is either regular or direct contract employee of the Registrar or hired on contract through a manpower hiring agency approved/ empanelled by UIDAI.
2. The Registrars are required to give certificate / undertaking in the prescribed format attached.
3. For those Registrars who donot satisfy above conditions, existing rate of assistance in accordance to O.M. dated 27/12/2016 shall be applicable.
4. The O.M. dated 27/1,2/2016 stands modified accordingly.
